🌸 Chuteira Rosa Project

Football, education, and female leadership transforming lives

The Chuteira Rosa Project is a social initiative of Instituto Guirlanda (Instituto Anderson Furtado) that uses football as a tool for human, social, and educational transformation. More than training athletes, the project empowers girls to become strong, confident, and aware of their value—both on and off the field.

A safe space for growth and opportunity

Designed for girls from the age of 8, Chuteira Rosa creates safe and welcoming environments where sport becomes a pathway to learning, self-esteem, and opportunity.
Each training session builds confidence.
Each match is a step toward autonomy.
Each gathering plants seeds for a more just and equal future.

Operating in communities across Rio de Janeiro, the project directly promotes inclusion, female leadership, and school retention, showing that football can—and should—be a path to dignity, belonging, and hope.

⚽ Sport as a tool for transformation

Access to women’s sports is still unequal. Chuteira Rosa was created to break these barriers by offering real opportunities to girls who often lack access to structured sports programs, educational support, and positive role models.

Through regular training sessions, educational activities, and community actions, the project strengthens not only its participants, but also their families and local communities. Football becomes more than a game—it becomes a tool for citizenship, discipline, cooperation, and self-confidence.

A captain who continues to inspire generations: Marisa Nogueira

Leading the Chuteira Rosa Project is Marisa Nogueira, former captain of the Brazilian Women’s National Football Team and one of the great pioneers of women’s football in Brazil. Her role goes far beyond coordination—Marisa remains, every day, a true captain.

With sensitivity, leadership, and deep social commitment, she works directly with the girls, guiding sports activities and supporting team development. Marisa also coordinates and inspires the Project Ambassadors—former players of the Brazilian Women’s National Team—women who opened doors in the sport and now return to the field as living examples of courage, resilience, and representation.

Under her leadership and with the professional team of Instituto Guirlanda, Chuteira Rosa connects the past, present, and future of Brazilian women’s football, showing girls that it is possible to dream big, claim space, and build new stories.

Education, care, and family support

Chuteira Rosa understands that true transformation goes beyond the field. For this reason, the project adopts an integrated approach that connects sport, education, and social care.

In addition to training sessions, the project offers free online courses and educational content not only for participating girls, but also for their families. Topics include education, health, citizenship, women’s empowerment, nutrition, and personal development—strengthening the family environment as an essential part of each girl’s growth.

Instituto Guirlanda also provides food baskets to the families of participating girls, directly supporting food security and household well-being. This assistance ensures better conditions for continuity, development, and dignity, reinforcing the Institute’s commitment to comprehensive care.

An impact that goes beyond numbers

Each girl supported by the Chuteira Rosa Project becomes a multiplier of positive values. The impact is reflected in posture, self-esteem, the courage to express oneself, and the confidence to face challenges both in sports and in life.

The project builds support networks, strengthens communities, and contributes to the formation of a new generation of girls who are confident, aware, and protagonists of their own stories.

Chuteira Rosa is more than a sports project.
It is a network of transformation.
It is a movement for equality.
It is a team playing for the future.

When a girl believes in herself, the world around her begins to change.
